Green Mirjan Fort in India

You can safely call it “green” as the plants cover the whole area and the ruins. The territory is very big and the fort is impressive.

The 16th century fort was equipped with bastions and has 4 entrances, the walls were double. Not all of the constructions remained undamaged, still the fort looks kinglike and visitors can feel the atmosphere of the past centuries.

Mirjan Fort was built at the order of Queen Chennabhairadevi, and served as a protection bastion for the river transportation of spices (which were greatly appreciated at that time): saltpeter, pepper, and betel nut.
